One never wants to pass up the chance to make a little local history in ballooning. On July 12 in the shadow of Mt Hood to the south and west and Mt Adams to the north and west just as the sun was setting, Laurie Spencer, Jim Smith and Laura Hancock inflated in the town of Hood River Oregon (yes the wind capital of the nation Hood River). 

The inflations were made for the Wildhorse Resort and Casino "Air Aid" promotion to benefit Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Hood River.
